Hello Mojave High School Parents and Guardians!
When HUSD returned from COVID distance learning, we changed our middle school and high school start times to comply with Senate Bill 328, signed into law by Governor Newsom in 2019. However, these new start times have had an unintentional impact on various aspects of student life, including learning, social emotional well-being, attendance, family time, safety, studying, tutoring, and homework. Recently, HUSD was able to adopt a resolution declaring the district as rural, exempting us from SB 328. As a result, we are considering changing our middle and high school start times back to their pre-COVID and pre-SB 328 times.
We want your input on this.
